Centralized Head End

Virtualize your Physical Head End

The head end is one of the key elements in a content service and at the same time, it’s one of the most cost intensive elements for both CAPEX and OPEX. In the analysis of feasibilities for a content service, the cost of subscriber retention is always as important as the cost of content acquisition per user, accounted by license (rights for the content) as by technical resources needed.

Centralizing a head end allows a content distributor or provider in many cities to capture and transcode their signals in one location and then distribute them over an IP network (either public or private) to different locations where local delivery is required

On top of reducing the cost of signal acquisition and processing per user in multiple location service delivery models, it also reduces operating costs and allows a faster growing and deployment of services.

It also helps the launch of multiple operator options like the ones industry associations could do. Our Multi Tenant Middleware allows to organize the signals and distribute them to each sub operator according to the content rights that each one has and sharing the costs among all.
